| It's annoying when people say that and they're quick to assume that all anime is for kids. The only one that comes to mind for them is Pokemon, and they'll sometimes say something along the lines of 'oh you like anime? Isn't it for kids? Do you like Pokemon too?' etc. Honestly I just laugh at them for being so ignorant because their knowledge in anime is so small it's like I could easily show you some shows not suited for kids. |

| Personally never heard that, but this is the same level of argument from the same people who say that video games are for children. It has nothing to do with age at all, because games or anime are just an entertainment medium like any other. It's the same as watching movies, tv shows, or even reading books, just another form of escapism. Of course, that doesn't mean that adults can't enjoy them too (I am an adult who enjoys both western and eastern cartoons), but I wouldn't get mad at someone saying that anime are for children.
