Alternative ending that I thought up on the spot:
Tails smacks the machine and yells at it to turn them back to normal. Which it does!... Well, kind of. They are back to being a fox and a nutria, but they are still as big and buff as Soar and Tommy. Dave is a little disappointed while Tails feels even more embarrassed.
