Vanessa starts with an ultrasound, applying the cool gel to Lalo's swollen belly and methodically scanning the area. The monitor flickers with images but Vanessa needs to gather more information. She then prepares for a more invasive examination, explaining that she’ll be performing a special type of endoscopy designed for her male patients. Pulling on a pair of sterile gloves with a snap, she reassures Lalo and begins the procedure, followed by a careful palpation test to check his progress.

After a thorough examination, Vanessa finally delivers the news: Lalo is 10 centimeters dilated and ready to push. The relief and urgency in her voice are clear as she instructs Lalo to prepare for the final stage. With determination in his eyes, Lalo braces himself, knowing the hardest part is just ahead.
