Fresh from her victory against a single BSA17, Sophia is ready to attempt a double-stuffed pair.  This is a good confidence-builder on the way to blowing a hot water bottle, and the pressure to achieve overinflation is usually similar.  Although she agrees that a check valve is a good idea, she actually starts out with cheeks continuously inflated, as if the check valve wasn't there.  At least she is wearing her safety glasses!

As the battle progresses, her ever-enlarging and reddening cheeks tell the story of the increasing pressure.  Near the climax of her struggle, she switches from the tuba mouthpiece to the lip-ring spirometer mouthpiece in the hope of getting a better seal.  That seems to provide the necessary "push over the cliff" to finish the job, leading to a "happy dance" and examination of data.
