 Jewell Marceau and Tanya Danielle have a tempestuous relationship. One minute they are talking, laughing, drinking, and getting along famously and then, in the blink of an eye, everything goes horribly awry. Jewell once likened this sequence of events to being "sucked into a downward spiral". Tanya had stared at her in disbelief. "'Downward spiral'?" she had reiterated contemptuously. "It's more like riding in a fighter jet that gets shot down by the enemy. You are the pilot of the doomed aircraft and I have to crash and burn with you." Jewell had pondered this analogy for a moment before asking: "Who's the enemy?" Tanya had leaned forward, looked Jewell straight in the eye, and replied: "The demons inside of your head." On a subsequent Thursday afternoon Jewell proves Tanya's point. Initially the two ladies are enjoying an impromptu fashion show as they model high-heeled shoes for one another. An argument breaks out because the women are running low on the tape they are using to attach nylon peds to their feet. Jewell loses sight of all reason. Tanya tries to escape her friend's wrath but finds herself helpless in the face of Jewell's mounting fury. Soon Tanya lies hogtied on the floor, bound so tightly with black tape that her valiant attempts at escape prove futile. Of course Jewell relishes each and every second of Tanya's pain..
